About AFOGON

What This Group Has To Offer:
Teamwork is what we are, this isn't a dictatorship.
What I require is that you strive to achieve an understanding amongst our ranks of, Loyalty, Leadership, Bravery and discipline. Those 4 key words in AFO Neptune's team work is key. We go out in the wild to train, play and have fun. At the end of our training we show it off on the Airsoft Field as a team. You do not have to be perfect, of military background, or own all the airsoft equipment in the world to join. We re a fun group that doesn't always work hard we also play hard also. On our down time we play video games, card games, drink, go out and party and just hang. Even if you don't like those things you will still fit in, we are a very diverse group.

Restrictions: Must Be 18 And Up!

How The Team Will Work:
AFOGON will run about, Max-2 Snipers, Max-4 Assaulters, Max- 4 Cqbs, will be needed. Acceptations may be worked out.

NOTE: Below is a EXAMPLE ideally of how this group runs on a mission to breach a building in a formation of 2-Snipers, 2-Assaulters, and 2-Cqbs.This isn't a true military strategy, we take from all combat strategies and implement them into one. We have countless strategies for this group, though other strategies are for those who are members.

The Walking Formation:
This is applied when the team is on foot in an open area.
1 Assaulter will be placed in the back,
2 Cqbs will be placed in the middle,
1 Assaulter will be placed in front,
Explanations are below.

The Snipers:
The snipers are key to the team, they are the eyes.
They take turns spoting and relaying info through our comms as well as providing over watch.
They follow with our team at a distance until further order.

The Assaulter:
They have the most important job. They will be placed one in front and one in back of the walking formation. They will provide cover fire for the back and front of the walking formation. When the assaulters must breach with the cqbs, one of the assaulters splits up and goes in last following the cqbs while they breach into the building. The assaulter that went in will be called "Shield" and come out first when the cqbs exit the building. The assaulter that entered the building must distance themselves while following the cqbs, this will provide a sturdy defense on missed or new treats as they clear the building together. The assaulter on the outside is called, "Sweeper" and will scout the perimeter of the building for treats while having the friendly snipers cover him/her.

"Shield" - An Assaulter that keeps cover on fellow ranks.
"Sweeper" - An Assaulter that clears any perimeter on a following mission.
NOTE: These are AFOGON terms. Not actual Military terms.

The CQBS:
They are a multitasking short range division that will fill in the blanks while in walking formation. The cqbs will breach all buildings and follow through the building clearing it. While the building is fully cleared they will report this to the highest available rank awaiting there order.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Results:
Above is the basics of what we do and can accomplish.
We run drills almost every week and practice these things together.

History

AFO Neptune was founded by Ryan Gillis in 2012. Then later administrated as AFO Ghosts Of Neptune in 2013 by Chris English and Ryan Gillis. Though every story has a beginning. It started back in 2005 with Ryan Gillis and Mark Wilson. They founded the 82nd Airborne with total of about 20 members. A few years later we lost one of are members to a murder and most of the team disbanded due to job opportunities and had moved away. 20 had easily become 6 and changes were made to work with these new adjustments. The Rangers were born in 2011 with a few members in rank. This team quickly became to grow with a new following of recruits. The Rangers would lead the way on countless battles and were trained to effectively face many odds. Later in that year the ranks had split into a few couple divisions and tension boiled between these divided factions because of the great difference between WW2 arms and modern weaponry they faced against. A change was crucial to keep up with most airsoft teams for competitive play. The year became 2012 and AFO Neptune was devised. This team was banded around a few friends from old WW2 divisions, Big Red One, Rangers, 82nd Airborne and 101 Airborne. AFO Neptune took flight with its members and new weaponry, keeping up with the opposing offences and obstacles, that were once hard to face. Later through the year most of the team had yet again quit or left due to personal issues.  In 2013, 001 - Mother and 002 - Preacher came up with an idea to reclaim the battlefield and reintroduce the flame of AFO Neptune as AFO Ghosts Of Neptune. This change was also in mind of all the members that once were, the many faces that came to arms with are ranks in the past. The ghosts of the once mighty 82nd Airborne and following deceased ranks. We are the warriors that never die, that mirror your every movement before we strike. We are AFO Ghosts Of Neptune. As of late, on May 3, 2014 at 5:44 PM, Mother / Ryan Gillis has stepped down and let 002 Preacher / Chris English become 001 lead AFO NEPTUNE.
